Cisco Names Sean Duca as New CISO
Cisco recently announced the appointment of Sean Duca as its new Chief Information Security Officer & Practice Leader for APJC. Elevating performance in the cybersecurity landscape across the region, with over 20 years in cybersecurity, Sean has led initiatives that merge visionary strategy with practical solutions to enhance digital security. Prior to this, he worked at Palo Alto Networks for nearly nine years as VP and Regional CSO for the APJ region. His extensive work with Intel Security for more than 15 years as CTO for APAC is testament to his leadership in technology and security.
JPMorgan Chase Names Sri Shivananda as New CTO
JPMorgan Chase has reportedly named former PayPal executive Sri Shivananda as its chief technology officer. The new CTO — who held the same role at PayPal — has a record of business growth and innovation that will help JPMorgan to “tackle complex technological challenges,” Lori Beer, the bank’s chief information officer (CIO) wrote in the memo.
Allianz Global Investors Names Michael Krautzberger as New CIO
Allianz Global Investors has appointed Michael Krautzberger as its new global CIO for fixed income, according to a statement from the firm. Krautzberger joins AllianzGI from BlackRock where he was most recently head of Europe, Middle East and Africa fundamental fixed income. Prior to that he was chief investment officer and member of the executive board of BlackRock Asset Management Deutschland.
PayPal Names Srini Venkatesan as New CTO
PayPal appointed former Walmart EVP Srini Venkatesan as its CTO. Venkatesan, who will replace outgoing CTO Archie Deskus, will take on the role June 24, 2024.

Tampa Names Eric Hayden as New CIO
Tampa City Council members unanimously appointed Eric Hayden as the city’s new chief information officer and chief technology officer. Hayden has held both roles in an interim capacity after his predecessor, Russell Haupert, stepped down in January. Since then, the city has conducted a nationwide search to fill both positions, resulting in 93 candidates, according to Tampa Chief of Staff John Bennett.
